NFC Forum

The Near Field Communication Forum was formed to advance the use of Near Field Communication technology by developing specifications, ensuring interoperability among devices and services, and educating the market about NFC technology. Formed in 2004, the Forum now has 150 members. Manufacturers, applications developers, financial services institutions, and more all work together to promote the use of NFC technology in consumer electronics, mobile devices, and PCs.

The Smart Card Alliance was established to accelerate the widespread adoption, usage, and application of smart card technology by bringing together leading users and technologists from both the public and private sectors in an open forum to address industry issues and create new opportunities for all. Alliance membership includes over 150 U.S.-based and international organizations covering the full spectrum industry suppliers, integrators, and end user groups.

Collis is a member of ISO Subcommittee 17 Cards & Personal Identification (Active in Work Group 3 MRTD, 10 ISO Compliant Driving License & others). ISO is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 160 countries. ISO is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors.

MULTOS

MULTOS is the high security, multi-application operating system for smart cards. Collis has designed the MULTOS Interoperability Testing Platform (ITP) and provides MULTOS Type Approval consulting services. The MULTOS ITP enables MULTOS Consortium Members to perform efficient type approval pre-testing of their implementations, speeding up the development process and shortening   time-to-market. Collis’ MULTOS ITP supports testing of both MULTOS and MULTOS step/one. Collis has been appointed by MAOSCO Limited, the consortium company, as an approved provider of MULTOS Interoperability Testing Type Approval Services.

3GPP

3GPP was created in December 1998 by the signing of the "The 3rd Generation Partnership Project Agreement". The latest 3GPP Scope and Objectives document has evolved from this original Agreement. The original scope of 3GPP was to produce Technical Specifications and Technical Reports for a 3G Mobile System based on evolved GSM core networks and the radio access technologies that they support (i.e., Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA) both Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD) modes). The scope was subsequently amended to include the maintenance and development of the Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) Technical Specifications and Technical Reports including evolved radio access technologies (e.g. General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE)).
